Chocolate Chilli Truffles. Čokoládové chilli bonbóniky.

 

There is something beautiful I read in a book recently.
´A beautiful way to love yourself is by giving yourself food you really need.´

And I am pretty sure I know what we all REALLY need when our minds can´t stop thinking about chocolate. We need these cute, decadent and amazing chocolate truffles, which are filled with little bit of cayenne pepper to give you the lovely kick of heat – just what you need on cold and windy days. Chocolate Chilli Truffles.

You really don´t need to deprivate yourself about munching on these beauties, it´s few ingredients that are put together which will nourish you. The main ingredients – dates – are a natural sweetener, which help maintain a regular heartbeat, promote regular bowel movement, sooth coughs and sore throats; they are also high in potassium and are a great source of fibre. And even though they are fabulous and yummy tasting, they do still contain sugar, so respect that. :)

I´ve used almond butter as well, to send the nutritional value of these truffles sky-high. Almonds are a great source of protein,magnesium, potassium; they are also full of vitamin E, which supports brain and helps our skin to look beautiful even after late night out.

Cacao powder, which comes from unroasted cacao beans, is a true medicine, that helps calm the nervous system, lower blood pressure and fight against free radical damage.

P.S.: The recipe can be easily doubled. Or trippled..And if you wrap them up in a pretty box, they make a wonderful gift. And, who wouldn´t love edible handmade gifts? :)

Chocolate Chilli Truffles

10 medjool dates (pitted)
1 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs almond butter
2 heaping tbs cacao powder
splash of vanilla extract
1/3 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
tiny pinch of sea salt

Put your dates into a pan, cover with water and bring to a boil(if not using medjool dates). Take off the heat and leave it sit in the water overnight. Or alternatively, for couple of hours.
Drain the dates, put them into a food processor (or blender) and blend till smooth paste forms. Add almond butter and blend. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until completely smooth. Taste, add more cayenne pepper if you want to bring in a bit more heat.
Using 2 teaspoons, form little balls and put them on a plate. When you used up all of your chocolate mixture, put the plate to the fridge, for about 10 minutes. Take them out, roll them between your hands, so they form a nice and smooth balls and roll them in a cacao powder. Store in a fridge for up to 2 weeks(if they´ll last), in an air-tight container or simply in a jar with a lid, somewhere in the back of the fridge so you won´t see them everytime you open the fridge – they are higly addictive! :)

A som si ista, ze presne viem, co NAOZAJ potrebujeme, ked nasa mysel nemoze prestat mysliet na cokoladu. Potrebujeme tieto chutne a uzasne cokoladove bonboniky, v ktorych sa ukryva stipka chilli, aby vasemu telu dodalo trosku ´ohna´- presne to, co potrebujeme cez chladne a zimne dni. Cokoladove Chilli Bonboniky.

Viem, ze ludia sa citia hrozne, ked sa snazia zdravo zit, obmedzit cukor a ostatne chemicke veci, ktore sa ani nedaju nazvat jedlom a pustia sa do vecerneho prejedania sladkosti. Rozumiem, ze ked si clovek dopraje nejaku sladku maskrtu, citi sa akoby zlyhal. Ale na to ani nemusite mysliet s tymito kraskami, na ich vyrobu som pouzila len to, co nam priroda dava; nic viac nic menej. Su len z par ingrediencii, ktore vase telo potesia. Takze mat nieco uzasne sladucke a chutne vobec nemusi byt zle. Prave naopak, je to ta prava odmena! :)

Ako hlavnu ingredienciu som pouzila datle (medjool), ktore su naturalne sladke, takze sa nemusite pchat ziadnymi rafinovanymi cukrami, ktore sa tvaria milo, aby ste si vychutnali ten sladucky pocit z maskrty. Datle podporuju aktivitu srdca, pravidelne vyprazdnovanie, taktiez napomahaju pri liecbe bolesti hrdla a upokojuju kasel; obsajuju velky obsah potasia a su skvelym zdrojom vlakniny. Takze, datle su naozaj taky ten maly a sladky zazrak prirody. A aj ked su pre nas naozaj dobre a obsahuju kadeco fajn pre nase telo, neprehanajte to s nimi, lebo stale obsahuju cukor, takze by ste to mali respektovat a nenapchavat sa s nimi hned ako zacneme pokaslievat! :-)

Taktiez som tu pouzila mandlove maslo, aby som nutricnu hodnutu tychto krasok vyzdvihla priamo do vysok! Mandle su skvelym zdrojom proteinu, magnezia, potasia; taktiez su plne vitaminu E, ktory podporuje cinnost mozgu a pomaha k tomu, aby bola nasa plet krasna ako obraztek aj po prebdenej noci.

Kakao, ktore pochadza z neprazenych kakaovych bobov, je naozajstna medicina, ktora pomaha upokojovat nervovy system (hlavne vtedy, ked pridete domov z roboty vystaveni a hladni a zjedli by ste prvu vec co okolo vas prejde), kakao taktiez znizuje vysoky krvny tlak a bojuje proti volnym radikalom.

Takze, nebojte sa, experimentujte, na takychto bonbonikoch sa naozaj neda nic pokazit. A vsetci vas za ne budu milovat! :)

P.S.: Tento recept mozete kludne zdvojnasobit. Alebo ztrojnasobit.. A ak tieto bonboniky zabalite do krasnej krabicky, potesia nejednu zlomenu dusu. A naviac, kto by nemiloval vlastnoroucne robene cokoladove bonboniky? :)

Čokoládové Chilli Bonbóniky

10 datli (medjool alebo klasicke), vykostkovanych
1 lyzica kokosoveho oleja
2 lyzice mandloveho masla (jednoducho mozte pouzit aj mandle, ktore na jemnucko vymixujete v mixeri)
2 vrchovate lyzice kakaa
splech vanilkoveho extraktu
1/3 lyzicky mletej skorice
1/2 lyzicky chilli korenia (kajanske korenie)
malicka stipka soli

Zacnite s datlami. Ak nepouzivate jemnucke medjool, tak tie svoje namocte do vody, privedte k varu, odstavte z tepla a nechajte pri izbovej teplote odpocivat do rana. Alebo, aspon na par hodin.
Datle ocedte, dajte ich do mixera a uplne na jemnucko vymixujte. Pridajte mandlove maslo a znova pomixujte, aby sa hmota pekne spojila. Nakoniec pridajte zvysok ingrediencii a mixujte, dokym nebudete mat jemnucku a krasne cokoladovu hmotu. Ochutnajte a pridajte viac kajanskeho korenia ak si zelate.
Zoberte si dve lyzicky a pomocou nich odoberajte a tvarujte z vasej cokoladovej hmoty gulicky, ktore postupne ukladate na tanier (alebo pekac). Pekac alebo tanier dajte do chladnicky, na cca 10 minut (alebo dokym sa nebudu dat krasne a jednoducho rolovat medzi prstami). Vytiahnite, kzadu gulicku pekne vytvarujte rolovanim v dlaniach a nakoniec uz len  gulicky ´vyvalajte´ v kakau (alebo kokose, posekanych orechoch..). V chladnicke vydrzia naozaj dlho, nieco vyse mesiaca, mozno viac. Skladujte ich vo vzduchotesnej nadobe, alebo jednoducho v sklenej flasi s vrchnakom, niekde vzadu v chladnicke, aby ste ich nevideli zakazdym, ked chladnicku otvorite :) Su naozaj navykove! :)
